WhatsMiner Tool security checklist

ASIC management tools control production hardware. Keep downloads verified, networks private and changes reversible.

This is an independent operator guide. Verify current downloads, firmware notes and warranty-sensitive actions on official WhatsMiner support pages before changing production miners.
Operator controls

Minimum safeguards

Private access

Do not expose miner web, API or SSH ports to the public internet. Use VPN for remote administration.

Credential rotation

Change default credentials and rotate passwords when operators or vendors change.

Download verification

Use official vendor sources or a mirror with published file size, date and SHA256.

Change records

Document pool, worker, password, firmware and power-mode changes before batch operations.

Backup hygiene

Do not publish database exports containing admin email, login transients, users or click logs.

Conservative claim policy

Avoid absolute security, protection or mining revenue claims.

Incident response

If something looks wrong

Disconnect public exposure

Close forwarded ports and require VPN access.

Rotate credentials

Change admin passwords on affected miners.

Export logs

Capture miner and tool logs before destructive recovery steps.

Verify firmware source

Compare firmware files and release notes against official vendor sources.
